12-Week Fun and Fitness Program

This program for women grew out of a need to create a safe and supportive environment for women to achieve their health and fitness goals. 

Activites include: running/walking, hiking, swimming, interval training, nutrition counseling, strength training, yoga, meditation and more! During each 12-week session, we try to include a weekend retreat. Previous adventures have included a trip to Volcano National Park on the Big Island, Camp Erdman (where we challenged ourselves on the ropes course) and a personal improvement retreat at Malaekahana. Make a commitment to yourself and join today.



New members are always welcome at any time.
Meeting times are every Monday, Wednesday (5:30 pm -7:00 pm) and Saturday (7:00 am-8:30 am). Meeting locations are outdoors and usually in the Honolulu area.





Winter session dates: January 19-April 9, 2005; Orientation meeting at the Ward Entertainment Starbucks on Janaury 15, 2005 at 9 am.

Spring session dates: April 18 - July 9, 2005; Orientation meeting at Ward Entertainment Starbucks on April 16, 2005 @ 9:00 am.

Interim Session- Dates TBA (every Monday and occasional Sunday excursions; $80 for 7-week session)

Fall session dates: September 19-December 10, 2005; Orientation meeting at the Ward Entertainment Starbucks onSeptember 17, 2004 @ 9:00 am.

Cost: $350+tax per session, 10% discount if you join with a friend.

Team Try Fitness

Team Try Fitness offers 4 triathlon training programs for women throughout the year.

1) Women's Triathlon Training

Join KC Carlberg and her team of coaches for this program to help prepare you for the World Cup Races on April 18, 2005.

Session dates: February 1-April 17, 2005, Tues/Thurs 5:15-7:30 pm and Sundays 7:00-9:00 am. Orientation Meeting: Janaury 29, 2005 at 10:00 am.

NEW! Windward Women's Triathlon Training- Same great program, but on the Windward side. Orientation Saturday, January 29 at 12:00 pm at Starbuck's Kailua.
Cost for both programs is $360+tax.

2) Tinman Training for Women
This training helps you prepare for the Tinman Triathlon in July.

From April 24-July 17, 2005, Tues/Thurs 5:15-7:30 pm Sundays 7:00-9:00 am
Cost: $360+tax for this program.
Orientation Meeting: April 23, 2005 at the Ward Entertainment Starbucks at 9:30 am

3) Na Wahine Triathlon Training

Join Tanya Sells, the 2003 and 2004 Na Wahine Sprint Triathlon winner and the 2004 Honolulu Triathlon winner, KC Carlberg, USA Certified Triathlon Coach and her experienced coaching staff, including Alison Miyasaki, Sergio De Olivera, Tania Ingram, Liz Texeira, and Dorian Cuccia, as they help you prepare for the 6th annual Na Wahine Sprint Triathlon on September 18, 2005.

Both Novice and Intermediate/Advanced programs. Let our qualified staff of coaches help you get fit with interval training, ocean swims, bike trainer workouts, long bike rides and practice triathlons. Improve your swim/bike/run transitions and more in a fun and supportive group environment.

Sessions dates: July 24 - September 18, 2004- Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:15 -7:30 pm and Sundays from 7:00-9:00 am
Cost: $290+tax for the 8-week program or $180+tax for Saturdays only.

Orientation Meeting: July 23, 2005 at the Ward Entertainment Starbucks at 9:00 am.


4) Cycling Training for Women
An 8-week program designed for beginner cyclists. Let Dorian Cuccia and our experienced team of coaches guide you in a fun and supportive environment.

Learn how to:
-ride in traffic and fee comfortable on the road
-cyle with proper form and technique
-care for your bicycle and make minor repairs
-increase cardiovascular fitness through cross training and innovative techniques
-have fun cycling and make new friends

Session dates: January 8-February 6, 2005. Training Tues/Thurs from 5:15-7:00 pm and Sundays from 7:00-9:00 am. Cost: $260+tax.

Marathon Training for Women

14-week training to help you get ready for the Honolulu Marathon on Sunday, December 11, 2005.

Session dates: August 28-December 11, 2005. Training Tues/Thurs 5:15-7:30 pm and Sundays 7:00-9:00 am. Orientation at the Ward Entertainment Starbucks on August 27, 2005 at 8:00 am. Cost: $390+tax

Basic Training for Women

Strend Champion Glynis Ramirez and Triathlon Coach KC Carlberg will guide you in this cutting edge training to help you jump start your fitness program and set you on your way to achieving your fitness goals. This 3- week intense program will include core strengthening and conditioning, trail running, fitness ball workouts, swimming, nutrition counseling and more. Challenge yourself to do more than you thought you ever could. Start out 2004 with a bang and get back to basics.

Session Dates- January 9-30, 2005; Tues/Thurs 5:15-7:00 pm, Sunday 7:00-9:00 am
Orientation: January 8 at 9:30 am at the Ward Entertainment Starbucks

One-on-One Training

Athletes meet with KC for an evaluation, testing and a discussion of your goals.

KC will then design a program to meet these goals and train you  one-on-one for an hour each session.  The workouts include nutrition counseling and exercises to improve strength, power, flexibility, balance, agility and speed.  This program is appropriate for athletes of all ages and skill levels.

Fun and Fitness with a Friend

KC will come to your home, office, or other location and conduct 1- to 2-hour fitnessessions for you and your friends.  Group size minimum is four women. Programs are designed to fit your personal interests and goals. Locations of sessions are selected based on convenience for you. Training with a group is supportive, motivating and fun.

Cost: $100 per session. Minimum purchase of eight sessions to be paid in advance.  One session equals one hour.
