Well after over 2 days laying around, resting and elevating my leg from the treacherous cat bite, I’m ready to get back on the saddle. I truly want to heed the Dr.’s warning of resting and not doing too much too soon, however he did say if there is minimal swelling and redness then I’m good to go. So, 1 hour on the turbo trainer and 30 minutes easy relaxed run was just the trick. I feel pretty good. I have to remind myself that I am were I am and I can’t go back and make up what I missed.
The crazy making thing at this point in Ironman training is that every workout counts and adds to overall fitness and mental stability. Yes, I say mental stability because a lot of that comes from the confidence of doing your workouts.
I think for me, it also boils down to trust. I have to trust the work I’ve done, trust that the universe had something in mind here that I might not even know about and that all is good.

After some ab work and a nice shower, I’m off to have dinner with some good friends. A great way to finish off a weekend of BEING!
